Meet the Staff

Dr. Walter and Stephanie Liatsis, RN have partnered to form Medical Aesthetics of New England, PC, in Acton, MA and now Fitchburg, MA. They bring you Medical Aesthetics of New England, PC, the most comprehensive Medical Spa in the northwest Boston suburbs.

Gert Walter, MD FACEP

Dr. Walter is a graduate of the Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Walter is board certified in Emergency Medicine, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine, as well as on the Faculty of the American College of Emergency Medicine. He has been practicing medicine since 1984.

Dr. Walter has extensive experience in facial injections; plastic wound repair, skin healing and nerve block anesthesia and expanded this knowledge into skin aesthetics and care. He has extensive experience in treating the acute and chronic complications of aging. Dr Walter regularly attends seminars and conferences to keep as up to date as possible. He received specialized aesthetic training at the Anti-Aging Institute in Texas, and with Dr. McNab in Minneapolis. Dr. Walter has received additional VASER^® training at the Advanced Body Institute in Colorado and has been asked to provide webinars for VASER^® (Sound Surgical Technologies). Dr. Walter also works in the Emergency Department at Emerson Hospital, and is a clinical instructor for the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Walter is a fellow of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery as well as the American Board of Emergency Medicine. In addition, he is a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery and American Academy of Cosmetic Physicians, as well as the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Stephanie Liatsis, RN

Stephanie is a Registered Nurse specialty trained in Emergency Medicine and has been practicing since 1989. She also has dermatological and aesthetic experience working with a dermatologist. Stephanie received her aesthetic training at the Esthetic Skin Institute for Physicians and Nurses in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Stephanie performs a comprehensive range of procedures associated with anti-aging and skin rejuvenation such as BOTOX^®, Restylane^® and JUVÉDERM^® injections, collagen rebuilding, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, photofacial therapy, laser skin tightening and sclerotherapy to treat spider veins. Stephanie is a trainer for Allergan (makers of BOTOX^® and JUVÉDERM^®). Her superior technique with injectables gives you great results, and is the reason Allergan asked her to train other physicians and nurses. She belongs to the Dermatology Nurses’ Association and AMEN (Association of Medical Esthetic Nurses), which promotes a common standard for medical aesthetic training for nurses. She is a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery.

Alisia Vakalidis

Alisia Vakalidis is the newest member of the Medical Aesthetics team. She is a graduate of the Master/Medical Esthetics program and is certified in laser hair reduction, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels. Alisia came into the field of Esthetics because of her passion for skin care. She loves building relationships with clients to help achieve optimal results according to each individuals concerns with their skin. Alisia says "The thing I love the most about being here at Medical Aesthetics is the time the team takes with their clients to help them feel comfortable, cared for, and most importantly happy with their results and experience with us."

Tammy D’Agostino

Tammy graduated from the Assabet Valley Esthetics program in February 2006. Her biggest reward in life is her family, including her four daughters, and working with the team at Medical Aesthetics of New England, PC. Tammy likes to demonstrate and teach skin care, and make people feel secure about themselves. She strives to help people look and feel more confident about maintaining ideal care of their skin, including proper cleansing, moisturizing, toning and applying makeup so that it looks natural. "When people feel better about their complexion, they feel better about themselves"

Christine Dufresne

Christine Dufresne is a graduate of the Catherine Hinds School of Esthetics in 1989. In 1994 she also graduated from the Electrology Institute of New England and later became certified by Cynosure (Westford, MA) as a Laser Hair Removal Technician. Along with her experience in Electrology and Laser Hair Removal, Christine will also be offering Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels and IPL PhotoFacial treatments.

Christine says: "We all know that when we take care of ourselves we feel better inside and out. That is what we here at Medical Aesthetics of New England, PC strive to do for all our clients. I have been doing hair removal for over 15 years and I am excited to expand what I can offer my clients with Medical Aesthetics of New England, PC."

Jasmin Taliadouros

Jasmin Taliadouros, the newest member of the Medical Aesthetics family, has come to us with an extensive and diverse background in both the business and the medical fields. Jasmin has managed various medical offices, as well as her own business. She also has experience in the cosmetic industry. She is very compassionate and her number one priority is to be able to assist people with the utmost quality and customer satisfaction.

Amanda Flagg, LPN

Amanda is an LPN who graduated from the Mt Wachusetts College program in 2010. She had previously completed her esthetician training at the Catherine Hinds School. Amanda has been with us in a part time capacity for several years, and as she has increased her education and experience, she has grown in responsibility with us. She has become very proficient in achieving results with the new Vaser Shape MC1, fits in nicely with our other staff, and patients respond well to her humor and caring.

Amanda says "My mom is an RN and works in the aesthetics field. She has been my mentor and has been a strong role model for me. I’m really looking forward to following in her footsteps.”

Amanda is looking forward to continuing her education and has applied to various RN programs, with a long term goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. Hopefully she will continue to work and grow with us as she continues her nursing and esthetic studies
